Ingredients
For the fish goujons
Instructions
-
Prepare the fish
Preheat the oven to 210°C, or the air fryer to 190°C. Pat the fish dry and cut into evenly sized strips. -
Prepare the coating
Place the flour in one shallow bowl and the beaten egg in another. In a third bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan and paprika. -
Coat the goujons
Coat each fish strip first in flour, then beaten egg and finally the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently so the crumbs stick. -
Cook
Arrange on a lined baking tray and bake for around 15 minutes, or air-fry for 10–12 minutes, until golden, crisp and the fish is cooked through. -
Serve
Serve immediately with chips or potato wedges, peas and lemon wedges.
Note
Try to cut the fish into similar-sized strips so the goujons cook evenly. They are best served straight away while the Parmesan coating is crisp.
